Earworm

Following our regular scheduled programming, we have a digital storyboard an eight frame sequence of my own choosing. I have had an earworm stuck in my head all day. An earworm , in case you don’t know, is sometimes known as a brainworm, sticky music, stuck song syndrome, or Involuntary Musical Imagery (IMI). These terms are all used to describe a catchy piece of music that continually repeats through a person's mind after it is no longer playing. Today’s earworm is the theme song from The Munster’s. Having just finished the Christmas holiday and all the family that entails I decided to explore different kinds of families for inspiration. Tasked with recreating a movie poster, album cover or anything of your choice I decided to do some thumbnails sketches, using the inspiration board, to come up with some new concepts. How Many More Sleeps?

I am an absent mother and wife in order to keep up the pace at school. My daughter, who is in the third year of her Bachelor's degree does not understand why we have such a heavy workload. Ours is much heavier than her full-time university studies. During reading week, we had assignments and she did not. Reading week is supposed to be a time to get away from school. It’s supposed to be a time to put our minds at ease, so we don’t feel as if our brains and our bodies are being overworked. When Brock, among other universities, introduced the Fall Reading Week back in 2013, the underlying reasoning was the prevalence of mental illness among university students. They said this one extra week off was to allow students to get away from school, spend time with family and just come back with a clear mind.
